CONSISTENCY IN BUSINESS
Strategy and Planning
What is consistency? Is consistency important and why is it important?
What is consistency?
Consistency in plain language is repeating an action, words, behavior all over and over again in the same way or manner.
Consistency is a state of mind. And what makes it all happen? A singular goal, a vision. A mission, an agenda, something ...
There must be something
Is it important?
Yes it is!

Being consistent is what makes you successful. Being consistent allows you to establish awareness, build trust and deliver your services efficiently and profitably. Are you consistent?
It takes a lot of discipline to be consistent in things that we do. Consistency does not just happen it must be driven by a force if not you will find yourself derailing.
What are the things that drive consistency? Your goal, your vision for your business and your big "WHY"
As a business owner or service provider, consistency in your business is far more important than you can imagine. Being consistent allows you to establish awareness, build trust and deliver your services efficiently and profitably. Without it, your business is more likely to fail.
Here’s some advice to help you show up a little more consistently…as the year comes to a close and we are making new resolutions for 2023
1. Ensure your efforts are aligned.
It is crucial to remember that every decision and action you take should contribute to accomplishing a greater purpose or aim for your business. Every business operates like a machine, and whether it works efficiently or not depends on the stability and smooth function of every one of its parts.
Make sure you're carrying your workers along and all those connected with you in business. There are many parts to a machine so also is your business.
2. Define your brand – and stick to it!
As smart and creative business owners, it’s understandable that we get bored using the same brand elements (colours, words, symbols etc) every day. But the truth is consistency is critical when it comes to your visual brand. Constantly changing your colours, images and fonts can make your brand appear unprofessional and even untrustworthy. This part has been a challenge for me and I know so many other business owners like me. This actually can cause great confusion in the heads of your customers or clients
It's very important you stick to one so you are recognized anywhere without confusion. If you don’t consistently live up to the promises your brand delivers, customer loyalty is massively reduced. When you study the actions of powerful brands all over the world, you will see that they are highly consistent and any changes are few and far between.

3. Make plans and see it through.
Let’s be honest. If you do not commit to following a specific plan of action, you can put yourself in danger of generating high amounts of debt, or even going out of business. Every time that you choose to change your plans too early, you are likely to lose some money and thereby forced to rack up the costs without receiving any benefits from your prior initiative. Remember, you spend time and money planning.
Like we know time lost is money lost.
4. Analyze the results of your past efforts
It is important to remember that it often takes time to see the results of your efforts. If your business processes, sales, and marketing efforts are inconsistent, you receive wavering results. You will not be able to recognize how far you have come.
For example, running a facebook or Instagram Ad for a day or two won’t give you much insight into how successful the Ad is, but using it for a set period can provide a great deal of insight into if a particular marketing strategy is working. If you end a campaign before it has a chance to gain recognition, you may be sabotaging your own efforts. A monthly analysis would be fine.
5. Consider how these changes would affect your customers
Consistency in the interactions that you have with your clients allows your business to build a loyal customer base and provide a memorable customer experience for all. Understanding what customers want and giving it to them every time is important.
Whether you are establishing your brand or determining the
course of your sales and marketing strategy, you have to recognise the power of consistency. Give yourself an advantage over smaller competitors by becoming consistent in how you operate your business, and what you present and offer to your customers.
We have all been showing up for our biz.. How to improve on it is now the key question.
2023 is here already and this is the time to check some things.
How to Improve Your Consistency in Business
Decide on your Vision
The first thing any business needs to do to be consistent is to have a clear vision of what you want to achieve. Without a cohesive idea of what you’re trying to accomplish, your actions won’t add up to much. Therefore, vision is a crucial part of your business strategy.
Make a plan
The next step in improving your consistency is making a plan. It’s hard to be consistent if you don’t know what you’re supposed to be doing, right?
A plan is your go to for your business practices focus areas. It doesn’t have to be super complicated. It just has to provide a course of action for you to follow.
Don’t overthink this. A business plan doesn’t have to be formal or long-term. I like to create plans on a 90-day cycle. you can do that too that is 3 months plan and it allow me to be both consistent and flexible in case there are changes.
It is super difficult to be consistent without having a plan either written or in your head.
Pro Tip:
A plan is better written
Stay on your plan
This is where many business owners fail. They get all excited about their business and then start running it without any real focus. Which means they drift off the plan.
Consistency requires you to have the discipline to stay on your plan, even when it’s hard or feels wrong. So commit to following your plan of action for the period.
In Summary consistency pays, it helps you build your brand, retain customers, grow your business, grow your income, establish yourself in the highly competitive market and above all you become an expert and attract the kind of customers or clients you desire.
